I have just started to make my own decoupage pictures, but I find that Paper is cheaper to buy than card. Just wondered if it is better to use card than paper, or does it really matter?

I've used paper and have a little trick so that you get fewer wrinkles. I mist the paper before gluing with water in a spray bottle. I've even used tissue paper which is very flimsy, but misting it helps it go on smoothly with no bubbles either.

once you're utilizing it via fact the history image, print it immediately onto your card inventory. maximum printers can cope with that. once you're utilizing it as a picture to be cut back out and utilized to the history, undeniable printer paper is large. various the papers traditionally used for decoupage (magazine and newspaper pages, tissue, etc.) are flimsier than that. once you're utilizing an inkjet printer, nonetheless, that's relatively helpful to attempt a pattern with the decoupage medium you're working with to make beneficial the ink does not run. A laser print won't run.

I thought card or very heavy paper was the best... Anything else would be easily destroyed during the process...
