Some people gave some really dense answers. THanks to those of you who actually gave some kind of soluable info. If you don't know, or have never heard any embelishment on the subject, don't bother. It helps to hear everything anyone has heard, then you get a good idea of whether or not it MIGHT have some kind of fact. Geez, where are the history buffs?

The Aztecs sacrificed one person, every hour, on the hour. so around 92 in 4 days. They sacrificed them by pulling the still beating heart from the victims chest and lighting it on fire. Victims usually died from blood loss, entering shock, or actually having their heart burned while they were still alive.

The Aztecs liked to sacrifice people but they didn't kill nearly as many as the Spanish did when they invaded there lands.
