they put some american moter raceing on, from what i could tell about 40 to 50 cars kept going round an oval, the strange thing was they did this for 500 hundred laps, what is the point of this? does america class this event has a race? it was an oval, 500 laps i was shocked

Because the sponsors love people like you, who are willing to spend the time watching an event and then questioning its significance.

What's shocking is that you took the time early in the morning to watch the event instead of using your time constructively and then comment about it here as if the event, promoters, sponsors and the fans are the ones with a problem.

Maybe you could look for some European Semi-Truck races, that may be more your speed. If you don't like it you don't have to watch it.
