Not sure.
If he did... us normal people don't understand the pressure of living the celebrity life. A lot was expected from him and he didn't have any privacy. Some people looked to him as a god.
If he didn't... that's part of the celebrity life style too. I think a lot of the addictions are started because they need sleeping pills or pill to stay awake, or pills for pain and so on. They get addicted because they just have to keep going all the time.
If he did commit suicide it will always be a mystery. Elvis is a true American icon and no one wants that image tarnished.

No,I think he was indirectly killed by the people around him.And by the pressures of being as big of a star that he was.He couldn't handle it in the end and turned to Alcohol and Painkillers.

Slowly over a period of years, because he took too many drugs. Another idiot and such a waste!

he did, but not intentionally, he had tried on several occasions, but failed. By the time he died, he was living with his new girlfriend and his body was destroyed by abuse of food, drugs and booze, so yes he did kill himself, but on that occasion it wasnt deliberate.

he overdosed- I do not think he committed suicide-he was just in over his head.
