The EASIEST thing to do is run a program known as Belarc Advisor. Download it from their website: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html It will tell you how many slots you have on your motherboard, the memory speed, the memory amount, and the type of memory you have (DDR or DDR2). Then replace your memory with the same type.

depends what kind of ram ur board will handle n what ur using ur pc for but DDR2 is the latest on the market but im using 3 sticks of 1gb DDR atm
