Yes,indirectly.Ever since his mother died at the age of 42, Elvis was on a downhill slide.I think he subconsciencly took his own life.He also died at 42.

Yes, but perhaps not conciously....by continually taking too many prescription drugs he was given. Uppers to wake up & handle the hectic, crazy lifestyle he had & downers to calm down in order to get the rest he needed. And being who he was, no doctor would deny him the medications he wanted. And back then I don't think people realized the effects overdosing on even prescription medicines would have on the body. Plus the fact he was over weight & seemingly out of shape, and had lost his wife & daughter, so he was probably not in a very good emotional state either. And he had to live a very sheltered life based on his fame. A tragic combination.

I just got done watching unsolved mysteries on Lifetime, and that was on there. Did he, or didn't he kill himself? Well the doctors who did the autopsy say that there was no evidence that he killed himself, and that it looked like he had cardiac arrest or something like that. But then a private, second autopsy was done, and to this day, nobody knows what the results said. Its my opinion that he didn't kill himself, but I don't know how to explain why I think that.

Not intentionally but he was a prescription addict, so in a way yes. But the Dr.s gave him pills & ALL his friends & family watched him self destruct & did nothing to help. I honestly think Priscilla had a lot to do with his habit. Just look at how she's trashed his name & image since their divorce & made money off of who knows how many 'tv movies'

What do you think, Bubba? Elvis was a junkie & he died of a heart attack due to the pills & alchoal involed. In a way, he did it to himself.

Yes, but not on purpose. He was a junkie, taking the slow ride to the other side. It was inevitable.

It wasn't a concious choice (like suicide), but yes. His drug and alcohol abuse definately caused his death.
