If you don't know what you want to major in, start just taking your college required courses like English, Math, etc. and some misc courses in subjects that interest you personally and not worry about the type of job you can use it in. Once you've started exploring the different courses that interest you, you might just happen on one that totally fascinates you and that you can see yourself studying for the next four years of your life. When you get to that point, go to the department that offers that course and talk to someone about what majors you can take in that field or what would compliment it.

If you don't really know what you want to do for a career, you might start out majoring in liberal arts. Then you can be nice and flexible - there are a lot of jobs that just want you to have a degree, they are not picky what it's in - the ad would say "bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or RELATED FIELD" and if you take lots of different classes, you can make the "field" relate to almost anything.

Honestly the best major nowadays is just liberal arts because employers want well rounded employees now. Minor in a business or marketing. Businesses now see they too will need marketing campaigns in order to compete.
