Right after 9/11 we were. So probably when someone else is picking on us, we will band together. Doesn't matter what color or faith you are then, just that you ARE NOT the enemy.

There is no such thing as a "best country" or a country without problems. Even if racial problems are solved we will find ways to discriminate against each other. Its human nature. Look at the country right now, its split down partisan lines. Every liberal thinks every conservative is the scum of the earth, and every conservative thinks liberals are "unamerican" for exercising the very rights that make America great in the first place. Partisanism is the new racism. Its quite sad. Even without partisanism and racism, there will always be ways to discriminate.
Funny, also...notice how all the people who don't think the US has racial problems have avatars with white people on it? I am white and would never presume to know what its like to be black, hispanic, asian, or other. You shouldn't either.

Sadly, no. Until we are willing to just accept each other for who we are, there will always be racists and prejudice towards those who are different.
