Try to be as brief as possible when you talk to him and honey time will heal things naturally.
Human mind and body have an amazing ability to adapt to any situation once you make up your mind. I used to work 16 hours a day last year and i got used to it! So you see!!
So just try to do things that keep you occupied be with your family more and spend lots of time with other friends start dating if possible. Talk to lots of people(not about your ex-hubby) just do different things that keep your mind involved and interested.
Everyday when you wake up your mind will have changed a bit it will refresh and new positive thoughts come into your mind every single day just like your skin grows every day.
So just hang in there and let "TIME" and "FRIENDS, FAMILY" heal your mind.

I don't know honey. I have been with my new boyfriend for 2 years now but whenever I talk to my ex he upsets me. He just knows what buttons too push and he pushes them all. We too have a baby so I can't just say screw you. Just keep yourself busy when he is around. You should get a set schedule and then the only time you need to talk is if something is going on at school or if there is som other thing going on..

An 8 year relationship living together is not so easy to just dissolve and forget. It is like mourning the death of a loved one. The pain lessens in time, but there will always be residual pain.

what really helps to stop the hurt is to remember the reason that u guys are not together. it is tough, i was with my boyfriend for 8 1/2 years and we lost a child together and now we have a four yr old son. we argued too much and it wasn't good for my son to think it was right. just think about your happiness and realize that even though you care about him it is probably best that you guys are not together. good luck

I was with my ex for 16 years and we got divorced. We have been divorced for overa year now but I still miss him. You can't expect to change how you've felt for so long about someone in a few months. I am happy now and engaged to someone else but I will always care about my ex.

Find someone new. It helps greatly to have someone to talk to about the feelings you have. It looks to be that you're dealing with some emotional stress and need someone to vent to. I'm willing to listen if you would like to talk.
