Because of the reaction of the red pigment in the paint. Red is one of the most sensitives to sun.
Note: As in SCUBA diving, red is the firts color to disappear as your go descend/deeper.

Because red is such a spicif color. When red fades you get pink. When blue fades you still have blue. You can tell your insurer that the car is red. A good buff and wax and the car will be red again.

Ah you might not need to panic there, soldier.
Red finish on a car dulls quicker as it does react to UV light , but fera not, the dullness is called 'Bloom'
