You're an atrist? How long have you been one? Well being an artist of visual arts, depends upon your choice of medium; paint, charcoal, pencils, inks, oils, coloured pencils. What is your choice.
There is never just one view of anything, to see something from a different perspective, another view, different lighting, what or where can contribute greatly. Though some people can't just draw from their own immaginations (what is in their head) some people need to see something to copy or interpet their own view of what they are seeing. How you see something, what you wish to impart into your creation, you moods & your feelings.
You see it is a simple thing, or a complicated thing, its all in how You feel it should be.
Do you have a favorite subject, what it is that you enjoy drawing the most? Then take a different point of view, immagine it from someone elses' perspective, or a part of yourself you haven't expressed with your *art, yet.
Draw - with your hearts' desire, just be yourself. Sometimes it may not come out just as you like it, and sometimes it will, and still sometimes,... it will grow and evolve. Where you will have to come back from time to time to put a little more effort into it until it feels just right - for you.
Relax, take a breath, close your eyes. . . Drawings great and little all - Start with a little scribble here,... and a little there.

Well, what do you like to look at? What objects constantly grab your attention? Is it the sunset? Is it a stuffed animal, crystal figure, a butterfly? Is it that old tree outside your window? Or is it something that you've never seen in waking life like dragons, dinosaurs or fairies? What is it that makes you happy?
That's what you should draw.

As I said to a previous person who asked a question like this: Draw a warrior who is walking torwards his Village. He is carrying his best friends' body over his shoulder. the friend is dead with a sword wound through his chest. The warrior is covered with wounds as he is returning from battle. He has tears in eyes as he feels pain and guilt. Guilt that he couldn't save his friend from the enemy. that it should have been him who died. But in every sadness there is hope. you can draw the hope in the picture yourself. with your own idea.
