scrub my sister in law's toothbrush in the toilet because she smoked crack in my house and stole my food,clothes,make up and robbed my neighbor?

i might add that this happened a few years ago and she did go to jail but i was just thinking back and feeling a little guilty

Of course it was wrong, what are you a three year old??? You can't deal with her face to face and tell her that her behavior is unacceptable? Grow up and deal with people in a mature manner!
PS: She could get pretty sick from that toothbrush, throw it out.

to retaliate over a real or imagined wrong is inexcusable, confront your sister in law with the problem and if you can't come to a reasonable conclusion bar her from your home. If she continues to act unreasonable have your hubby deal with her.

no what you did is mild i would have called the cops on her and made sure she rotted in jail.
get away from her if she wants to lay in the gutter you don't have to go with her.
