As I recall you need to be at least 18 and have a valid drivers license with your current address. Of course that all varies from state to state regarding the ID.

You must be 18 but sometimes depending on the state you can have a valid driver's license or State ID.

As far as pawn shops it depends on what you are trying to give to them. Some pawn shops only take gold jewelry while some take just take silver or both. But nothing cheap. If you're trying to sell appliances make sure there are no scratches, that the paint isn't chipped or the metal isn't rusted. Some pawn shops will take small refrigerators or large or both. It just depends on where you go. Some will even take ovens.

If your pawning a television it can't be blurry or unfocused or cracked in anyway or they won't take it. And make sure if it came with a remote try to have that with it as well but you don't have too. If your pawning games such as Ps2 or X-box they have to be in their original case or they wont take it. That's including DVDs and videotapes as well. VCRs or DVDs players have to be in working order. If you're pawning in PS2's or X-BOX's make sure you have the game controllers as well. And they will check to make sure. Radios and MP3 radio players have to be in tip top shape. You can't pawn in shoes or clothes of any type.

Computers can be pawned as well but nothing that has had a virus on any monitor or keyboard problems. (they will check this as well). You can also pawn in musical instruments such as guitars electric and non-electric but guitars have to have everything intact including the strings and if possible the pick, keyboards, drums amps etc...

If the pawn shop is concerned about their license and if the law will jump down their throats, then I would imagine you might have to be "age of majority" (whatever it is in your area - usually at least 18). Can always go in to the pawn shop and ask 'em too.
