Yes and no. It's not political correctness and its not just the terms "racist", "prejudice", or "anti-Semite".
In college we used to have what's called the "You're ugly" defense. When cornered in a debate and you have nothing, you're obviously wrong but choose not to give up your position...Call your opponent ugly.
Israel is not a sacred cow nor is it off limits with regards to serious debate. Some people just have no real knowledge of the situation.
Yahoo Answers isn't exactly the place for serious political debate. The person calling you a racist could be an 11 year old who has no idea about racism.
If you want debate, go sit in on lectures at your local college. Start a blog. Get involved with people who can openly debate the issues.
Remember, if you get caught in a corner..."Oh yeah, Well you're ugly" works fairly well.

Ground realities should be center of your thinking. Jews have right to protect their country. Had their old residents have no right on their own home land. Is there any difference between the a group of terrorist having political grievances and indiscriminate killing of their opponents by a State.
United nations is the right forum for a country to decide such issues. Muslims and Jews have long history of co-existence. How it is impossible now.
Please study history and be with truth.

It is true that we listen to the whiners who charge their opponents with crimes against race more often then we discredit the whiners. Perhaps its because we fear that we will be charged with the samething if we don't help the whiner, but whatever the reason its a bad precedent to set. One which boomerangs back on the gutless wonders who employ such weakneed tactics time and again. Expansion of a country should only be done by friendly rules, that is, join with us and we both will grow from the joining. Like America joined its States. Its a better alternative than anialating ones enemies. Its also following the teachings of Jesus who historically the Jew has ignored. Quite a stubborn additude, don't you agree? Like their trying to prove that what he taught has no merit in their lives. Triteness may seem to be the action of the year but never allow it to control your life, pray for peace and question authority till the answer reveals reality.

Israel definetly has the right to defend itself, just as whatever country you live in has the right to defend itself, right?
This is a two sidedproblem, you must be aware that aggresion and belief of eradication is on both sides. However, it seems many people DO question Israel. Israel reacts strongly to provocation. Hamas and Hizbolah provoce Israel, regardless of their contries relationship. Hamas in particular but Hizbolah as well are impossible for their "home" countries to control, even if was desired. So, if you say Israel is wrong, you open yourself to being labeled prejudice, if you say Palestine, Lebanon, Hamas, or Hizbolah are all wrong you can expect similar comments, particularly with questioning the action of countries. Lebanon now walks the hardest path. They don't have the faculties necessary to defend themselves from either Hizbolah or Israel. Even though from a political perspective it is their duty to do both.

Yes the word racist or prejudice is often used for offensive reasons rather than defense or truth.
I disagree with ur position on Israel. Israel is the defender, and Islamo Fascists are the attackers. If the Islamists would return the captured soldiers and stop firing rockets the war would end instantly. Until comply the battle will rage on.

While what you say is partly true against all sorts of issues, you are nonetheless wrong when it comes to Israel.
Israel IS a sovereign nation.
Israel DOES have the RIGHT and RESPONSIBILITY to defend itself and its citizens.
Silence is acceptance. The very fact that Lebanon DOES allow Hezbollah to operate inside its borders, even against Lebanon's will, makes Lebanon liable for what Hezbollah does, just like if your kid vandalizes your neighbor's car or breaks his window, YOU are responsible for it.
I watch the news and I cry and I pray for both Israel AND Lebanon; it is a terrible thing. However, if you really want to lay blame where it squarely lies, blame the Useless Nations, whose only value on the world scene seems to be, "Stop, or we'll say Stop again."
It's the UN that is responsible for enforcing its resolutions. When they do not, it is left up to someone else to do it, or it doesn't get done. If the UN makes itself into a group of useless paper pushers who have no real intent on enforcing its laws, for lack of a better word, then what's the point in having them around?
The UN is like the father of a petulent kid. Daddy says, "NO!" The kid goes on and does just what he likes, pushing the boundaries, watching daddy for daddy's reaction. If daddy stands up and stops the boy from doing what he was doing, the boy is that much LESS likely to do it again in the future. If daddy just continues to say no, but takes no real measure to stop the boy from misbehaving, the boy grows bolder until he is fully uncontrollable.
God help us if we as Americans are ever subjected to having to follow the Rule of the UN instead of America, as Europe is pushing for, because then we would be an overrun country with no freedoms and no way to help ourselves, or the less fortunate, as we have been called to do for the last 100 years.

I believe it's America that is in the wrong. Picking sides is definitely a no no especially for a super power such as the USA. That's just asking for trouble.

I believe isreal is in the right. If the country where you currently live is surrounded by enemies who believe you have no right to exist and are sworn to eradicate you, they send sucide bombers to you regularly, then you might think different. I feel for all the innocent civilians and kids who are caught up in this but you simply cannot negotiate with terrorist.

I do think the word racist and predjudice do get used when someone wants to shut you up. Cause then you have to defend yourself and explain why you are not, which sometimes is hard to prove to the other side.

Beleiving Israel is wrong is not racist in any way. But if you present your argument laced with racial and antisemetic expletives and references to other antisemites, you will undoubtedly get pegged as one yourself.
Argue your point based on facts and not racial conjecture.
