I've seen so many flourishing, livid sunsets.
Fireworks tossed up in the sky! Cheerful merriment!
People shooting from the sunroofs of limousines! The sun exploding in the distance.

I find the sunrise less everyday. If one has any tendancies that I do-- they love the dark, the lugubrious, mysterious-- Night. Either it's the silence which makes my own thoughts Louder-- or it's that backdrop of infinite possibilities, where things in their light may presence. The visible world at daytime is fully rendered, the immediacy is plain. The angles necessary, all shadows creep into themselves.

Staying awake through a night, seeing the sunrise, it is a marathon that ends too soon, for which you don't qualify. The sunrise as return to the immediate extended world. The airhorn blowing in the distance, calling the game. It is the alarm clock without a gender. No questionability, it is the source.

Sunset is more meaningful for me because I have the time to enjoy it as the majority of my tasks have been done. It gives a chance to reflect on my day. Plus I am usually too tired in the morning to really appreciate the sunrise,

Sunset- I know that my work is done, it is time for rest and I can really enjoy it and as darkness comes before the dawn, I know there is time to reflect on the old day, be thankful for my blessings and think ab out what I could do better in the future and to prepare and rejuvenate for a new day and a new sunrise to look forward to and a new start.

I suppose I enjoy the Sunrise more because it is symbolic of a beginning and things new. However for some strange reason I really dislike the Sunset, that time of day when it is dusk. It depresses me for some reason, I always get this eerie feeling during that time....

SUNRISE!!IT signifies hope and u can start fresh with a clean slate leaving aside the worries of the past!!!!

And here is a poem on it that reflects my views -

--SUNRISE--

The grey begins to fade,

As colour creeps from leaf to limb.

The light is slowly seeping up,

From beneath the earth's curved rim.

The sky blue strengthens slowly,

Glazed with hues of orange and red.

Slowly as the earth revolves,

The sun lifts up it's head.

Colours shimmer in the light

And shapes begin to unveil.

The trees and flowers separate,

With the dawn light rosy and pale.

The sun climbs higher in the sky.

It's light shimmering and warm.

All things now are clearly seen.

A new day has been born.

Sunset is a very peaceful, meditative and quiet time for me, especially as it advances into the Blue Hour... that time after sunset when everything has a blue glow under an indigo sky.

Sunset because you are starting to realize what you pass through the day and expecting the night which you know that something is going to happen
