out of every website i visit using my password

In case someone hacks into your computer.....protect your passwords.

You certainly don't need to login and out of your computer, at all. But when you use the internet, chances are that you connect with either dial-up, standard DSL or Cable. When using these services, the service provider issues your computer a unique ID number, called an Dynamic IP address. Websites use this number to identify you while you browse the site. However, this number changes everytime you connect to the internet. In the case of an always-on broadband connection, your provider probably changes your IP nightly. Because web sites have no way of predicting what IP address you will be issued, they give you a username and password to authenticate yourself.

There isn't a need. but it's there for security reasons. If you use Firefox, it will ask you "Do you want to save your password" and you can say yes. So everytime you visit the site the password is filled in for you.
