pwn is geek speak for own, as in an argument that you win, you pwn your opponent.

i.e. i forget what it stands for, but the meaning is approximate to e.g. which is example given.

as in, there were many birds i.e sparrows, finches, african swallows, parrots.

'pwn' is own. it'd done on purpose because when you type fast, you may miss the 'o' and extend to the 'p'.

i.e. stands for the Latin, id est, meaning "that is".
