Restore your computer to the date from before the download.

Go to your control Panel-System and Maintenance-System Restore

reason it can't be deleted or uninstalled is bcuz it is currently running. hit ctrl-alt-del and bring up the task manager. if it's running you should see a program running that doesn't look familiar. usually it is a sys program of user program so look for those. right click and end the program. next step is to find where on your hard drive it is. kind of hard but if you ran spyscan it should also tell you where it is. find it, then delete it. what most trojans will do is change your registry files and this can be extremely difficult to change. if that;s the case then it requires some more intimate troubleshooting. I use webroot spysweeper and it tells you what reg files were installed into the system. click on the start button and click run, type regedit and then hit run. should bring up your registry files. then all you need to do is find the file and then delete it. takes a long time but will take care of your problems. another easier but quirky way to fix it is pick a date before the program was downloaded. if it was dowloaded on the 17th pick the 16th. click the start button again and go to search. you can search by date and then enter the 16th, for example, and it will bring up every file on the computer modified or added after that date. when it's done searching try and delete all those files

It might be serious enough that you need further help but START with the following. At the very least it will help protect you in the future.
Much of the software below has help on their websites if you need further help. And its ALL FREE.
(disable any antivirus you have before running another because 2 will conflict with each other)
The following programs work well together.

I use all of the following Free software with Windows XP SP2 and Internet Explorer with MSN toolbar and the pop-up blocker turned on and have never had a single problem with my computer sense Microsoft came out with SP2. (knock on wood.) (And be sure to keep Windows and the following software Updated)

The best Anti-virus is: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition. (www.grisoft.com)

The Best Spyware defense is: SpyBot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html)<--English version

AND: AdAware SE (www.lavasoft.com)
AND Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.info/kb/)
The best Firewall besides the one that comes with Windows is: Zone Alarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/co... or just (www.zonelabs.com) and select the FREE version.

These are all FREE and are all that are required. There is no reason to pay for this kind of software, except to give a donation to the writers if you can.
ALL the above programs are recommended and should be run on a regular basis. With some the free versions they must be run manually.

The best way to avoid getting any Malware (virus, Trojan's, spyware, etc) is to practice safe computing. Microsoft and many others have countless articles on the subject of safe computing. (something I think should be taught in schools)
