"cuba. come on! there ended in second place in the world baseball classics with PROSPECTS ! in other words its like saying putting the us's first a or double a out there to compete and nearly beat all of the real professionals in the world! imagine how their "triple a" will perfom. if you set their goals high, imagine their professional league. "

of course, the world baseball classic is obviously the standard, the US did not send its best player, and honestly, why should the best US players want to play and risk injury?

If you're talking about the best starting nine. If you're talking about the greatest depth, then it's undoubtedly the United States.

Baseball is great because of its international flavor, and the leaders charts reflect that when you look at statistics. However, while there are so many players from many great baseball nations, the US is still the biggest and best.

Again, it's tough to say who has the best 10 or 20 players, but the US is still by far the strongest and deepest.

To correct the guy talking about me being crazy - ARod was NOT born in the Dominican, he was born in New York City. Check your facts before you start pointing fingers.

Craig S is crazy he doesnt know wat he is talkin about the U.S. is definatly not the best team and neither is japan. The best team is undoubtably the dominacan republic. Listen to this team for the wbc if everyone who was born there played for them. They would have Big papi at dh pujols at first soriano at second tejada at short a-rod at third vlad manny and willy mo pena at outfield. At catcher they are not strong but with that linup it doesnt matter. As for depth they have reyes belliard and alou on their bench. Their pitching staff might even be more lethal than there hitting they have pedro colon and liriano and the resergent miguel batista. Anyone that still wants to argue that the dominican doesnt have the best PLAYERS plzzz feel free to try and argue with that lineup. As for the best teams thats an unfair question because the only countries that even have pro baseball leagues are the us and japan(atleast ones that you hear about) so its obviously the U.S.A. but thats not a fair question.
