Apple do not make money out of easy to scratch screens, the cases are not easily licensed and therefore hundreds of people make them without paying a penny. Mobile phones, portable games consols, sat nav, all have the same problem. If you need high visability then you need a clear plastic. If your ipod is scratcherd you should still be able to see the screen clearly! If you are worried aboute cosmetics then perhaps you should leave it at home and carry a picture of it around to impress the ladies/guys

Cause there made out of cra%.
There are many other models and manufactures on the market that are less expensive and BETTER but you the consumer have been fooled by Apple into thinking you HAVE to purchase an "iPod" in order to have the best.
Mine cost half as much and has twice the memory. Battery time is even longer. It also plays formats the "Apple" can't.

sure they do. the first area that scratches first is continually the silvery bottom. there'll be a tiny hairline or 2 after the first day or so. you should purchase an ipod epidermis or the different kind of protecting case (that includes a transparent, solid exhibit screen conceal) or purely keep it contained in the satchel. the textile satchel may no longer look like a lot, in spite of the indisputable fact that it is been operating large for me. it facilitates keeps the dirt out besides as guard the casing. be positive to no longer toss it into your handbag carelessly or carry it to varsity/artwork. undesirable, undesirable, undesirable concept....

A deliberate policy by apple, the warranty is void if it gets scratched. so they don't have to honour the warranties and replace their shoddy merchandise. Buy a decent MP3 player not that apple crap!

Put scotch tape around it. Make sure its see threw, though. This takes off some scratches and prevents new ones. I have been doing this for a good while.

Apple has done this purposely to continue their profits by making you buy warranties, protectors, and skins to protect your player. they make the player scratch up easily, so you buy more of their products.
