No, it's not necessary. of course you want to know what it's like to have one. It's different for everyone. If you feel like you are emotionally stable enough to have a bf. go ahead go whore around for one then.
Just because everyone has one doesn't mean you have too.
When you are ready to have one...Go ahead.
Just don't pick some random guy to be your bf. Because you think it's a trend at 16. And on the other hand its all up to you. You have a mind of your own. Just don't make any mistakes and regret it. 16 is a good age to have a boyfriend.
But, WHY do YOU think that it's NECESSARY to have a bf at 16?

It is never "necessary" to have a boyfriend, regardless of your age. I am a very independent woman and I encourage all females to enjoy the fact that you are an individual and should not be viewed as just part of a couple.
Oh, and it's A LOT more fun to be single - you can do whatever you want, with whomever you want!

No way! Don't get a boyfriend just because other people say you should. If you have a boyfriend, make sure it's because you actually like/love him, and not because of social pressure. I have to admit, I was rather desperate for a guy when I was sixteen, because I wanted that male companionship and tenderness. However, by senior year, I'd gotten utterly sick of guys from my high school (because I found out that most of them were immature morons), so I stopped caring. This past year was my first year of college, where I met my first boyfriend. We're still together after nine months!

No, not at all.

here's a way to tell if you really are ready to have a boyfriend....at any age.

If you feel that a boyfriend would accent your life and not complete it.....then you're ready for a boy friend. If you think that all of your friends have boyfriends, and therefore, you should too, you are NOT ready for a boyfriend.

It's never necessary to have a boyfriend, no matter how old you are. It's simply natural.

at sixteen you should be preparing for your life ahead and finding out who you are. it's nice if someone happens to come along to share that process with, but not necessary.
