Look the best way to live life is being nice to anybody. If someone is disliking you ,for me atleast it is the matter of thinking why he is so disintersted?there should be something he is not liking in me and by ignoting and not being nice to them I can never know the reason and ultimately I am not going to improve over that

So acording to my opinion, being nice to everybody is the best way to make people closer. It might take sometime but the result will always be the sweetest.

Depends on where I am; If I'm out in public and some idiot tries to start something, I'll just walk away(some people have no problem pulling out guns/knives at the drop of a hat); so I avoid confrontation; but if I'm at a small gathering and someone makes a rude, totally uncalled for remark, I will call them on it and make them feel like the small, insignificant being they are...

I like the answeres below, some do make scense, however how old are you? Why do you care what people think about you, live your life for you and the people you care about. Sometimes ignoring people you think they will go away, but they don't. Deal with with it NOW, because later in life this lesson will make you stronget. Respect others untill they respect yours. Try listning to the tom lycos show, i'm not sure what town you live in but call the local radio stations, Tom will put it out there black and white. Good luck (you only have one life to live-enjoy it)

First, 3. Ignore. If they perisist, 1. Be Nice. If they just don't learn 5. Throw down.

Here's why:
If they're being silly, they aren't really worth my blood pressure rising to yell at them. If they won't leave me alone, being nice to them confuses them. This also helps get the attention of passers-by who will usually do the dirty work of yelling at their rudeness (btw, I'm a petite girl, so I have alot of "white knights" at my disposal). Now, if they won't quit, or no one helps me......... then I blast them. Then and only then do I stoop so low as to dignify their response with an appropriate answer. I scold and scald. And if I have to, I take off the earrings and we see which one of us stands in the end.

You smile and walk away why well one you are better than that to make a fool out of your self to make a big stink about some one you don't even care about - now if this person was a friend, family and trying to make a point out of nothing but love - then so be it but not in public that should be done in Private remember that if someone is making fun of you then they are the ones who are acting like fools don't act like them to

Depends on the scenario and the mood I'm in at the time. Typically I try to take the high road and be the better person. That doesn't mean I won't exact my revenge on them when they least expect it though.

My sis is bi polar and given to angry abusive outburst against me in public. I avoid her whenever possible, at large family weddings i greet her and move away , I will not sit next to her going so far as to move a place card at a wedding, it is out of the question to be at a table with her . if it is a family diner or small gathering i stay at home

Seeing as how I'm one of those people who draw weapons out at a drop of a hat...Say something back. It doesn't have to be loud, or even nasty. Just quietly insult them and then laugh at anything else they have to say.
That's probably the worst thing you can do to someone is insult them or laugh. It rips their insides out.

It's so satisfying.

I try to be very nice to them. What can be said about me then..."I was a ***** to her...and she was polite." WOW Furthermore, I won't act like that, because I never want to be like that, ignoring someone is rude. I always hope the notice the contrast of their behavior to mine and are embarrased.

# 3, ignore them. Think about it. How do you feel when your talking to somebody and they walk away? Not so good right. Make it seem like your not even there and walk away.
