This question was asked for Liberals...What do you repulicans think??
Liberals: Who are you hoping runs for president in 2008 and why?
Notice I said Liberals, not just Democrats....I want to hear about third-party candidates as well.

Conservatives, please do not use this question to bash the left. Thank you

These are the most typical answers:
Russ Feingold
Hilary Clinton
Barack Obama
Al Gore
John McCain

I personally think these are pretty much "dead in the water" Candidates...

John McCain is still technically a republican, so he won't be running for the libs/dems yet.

Al Gore has already lost, is a proven loser, and is much more interested in his "global warming" fallacy than anything else.

Obama doesn't have the experience yet.

Clinton is a lying, whining sack of crap.

Feingold is responsible for the horrid McCain-Feingold campaign finance debacle (add this to McCains list of crappiness as well).

You're right, all "dead in the water". Dems have NOTHING.

Well I would like to see Barrack Obama Run that would be my perfect candidate, But I think its too soon, meaning I think he MIGHT have a hard time being a junior senator. I also wouldn't mind seeing Hillary run BUT again shes got a few thing agenst her, one shes a women, and unfortunately their are still alot of stupid people that wouldn't vote for her just because of that reason, and two she still fairly new in the senate. I think she strong and would make a good pres.

I'm a liberal and I would vote for Colin Powell over any of the above any day.

My first choice would be Obama. He is so articulate and open. He doesn't seem to be swayed by what others are thinking. My next choice would be from another party though I am not sure who it would be.
