Is now too early?

Personally, I do think now is too early. My family has always gone up to the mountains and cut down a fresh tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. Then we would all put them up along with decorations the weekend after. We don't do real trees anymore...we all have very good, real looking fake trees and put them up the weekend after Thanksgiving. This also makes it easier for some family members who live out of the area...we spend the entire weekend together as a family watching holiday movies, listening to music, doing crafts with the kids and decorating the entire house inside and out! It takes us 3 days to get all the finishing touches done and people love driving by our home. We have thousands of lights in the yard outside as well as 1500 lights just on the Christmas tree alone! lol Sometimes it feels like National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and we wonder when airplanes will start attempting landings in our yard! LOL You'll put your tree up when you want...it's totally up to you. So long as you and your family enjoy it, that's all that matters! Have fun!!! ~Kendra Leigh

About a week before Christmas. I wait till my daughter gets home from college as it is a tradition for her & I to go out & find the "perfect" one. It is always a real tree so we don't want it up too long anyway, and besides, if we put it up any earlier, we would all be tired of it by Christmas.

I'd wait--Christmas in July is for the stores, not real people. If it's a real one, hold off until at least the day after Thanksgiving. That's when I put up our artificial one too, but some people leave theirs up all year long and decorate it for different holidays throughout the year. So if you want a Columbus Day tree, go for it.

if it's a live tree, you may want to wait a few months....i set my fake tree up around the 10th (of December), or so. once i awhile, i get in 'the Christmas spirit' really early and put it up after Thanksgiving.

About 3 days after Thanksgiving. It gets everyone in the Christmas spirit and it just generally makes everyone around happy.

either the first or second week of december. it all depends on how busy everyone is.

now might be too early (unless youve heard of christmas in july. i have but its normally related to a sale not a holiday) i would wait untile mid august to put up the tree if i were you.

I think now is a little early --- but hey, go for it if that's what you want to do.

I usually put one up around two or three weeks before Christmas.

I was in an arts and crafts store over the weekend and they were clearing out their summer stock and already putting out fall, halloween, thankgiving and christmas decor.
