In the sixties -seventies male ear piercing was not the norm. gay men wanted to be a wee bit diferent to the straight male who was wearing an earring but only in the left ear, so they wore theirs in their right.
That was a while ago and now it makes no difference, both ears pierced is more common and does not signify and sexual preference or gender orientation.
may consider getting ur left ear pierced too for a more ballanced look and feel

I know guys that have both ears pierced. I was unaware that had anything to do with their sexuality. Rules are made to broken, aren't they?

Oh please, it is bec gay men start the trend and then eventually str8 men join in....look back about 10 years and you will see only gay men had goatee's, now most men have them....that was another trend.....
