I know I just needed someone to listen and have a shoulder there. It's a process and depending on the circumstances a recovery process. Just be there to listen and give moral support. Been there done that and I know my best friend was a savior, looking back I am surprised she didn't go off with my whining and mood swings. I know alot of others sent me cheer up cards and set up a pleasure party which turned out to be alot of fun. Everyone kept me up beat and didn't let me have a pity party.

dont try to "fix" their problems just be there to listen when they need you. the last thing they need is someone sitting there telling them what a piece of s### their hubby is even if its the truth. let them talk and get it all out. just the knowledge that they aren't all alone and their life is not over helps a lot. when the time is right encourage them to do small activities to get their mind off of the failed marriage. time heals all and the sooner they get out of the house and back in the world the quicker they will heal and move on.

what you need to be is a good listener, don't be offended by what your friend says if she is mad just let it go over your head and be there for her. The sooner she starts gooing out and realising that there is a llife out there for her the better, so encourage her to go out. Good luck xx
