there more cheerleading stuff then gymnastics stuff!!
even on yahoo those catagorys theres no GYMNASTICS!
cheer isnt a soprt! its just bobleheaded girls going *go team*!!!
ill beleve cheer is a sport when its in the olympics!!!

i totally agree. i'm a former gymnast and now i coach, and i get frustrated at the lack of gymnastics stuff online.
however, i think you're wrong about cheer. cheer can be a sport. i'm not talking about the ones at football games and stuff. there are real cheerleaders who do amazing things and it is totally a sport. you should see the cheer team at our gym. they're amazing.

my niece is a level 10 gymnast training for the junior olympics and guess what... she is a cheerleader too. i read her this and asked her opnion. she was absolutely livid. gymnastics is her passion and what she wants to do for the rest of her life, but she said so far training for nationals for cheerleading was the most physical exertion she has ever had. also, i was a gymnast and a cheerleader in high school and college and i completely agree with her. gymnastics is tough, but i went to nationals and have never competed with as much exertion as i did that night. you have to do all of the gymnastics requirements and still lift people in the air after you do 3 back handsprings with a full twisting layout. i am sorry, but i don't agree with you whatsoever. you should try something before you knock it.

I agree. I come to the Olympics section looking for gymnastics questions/ topics when I'm bored!!

I totally agree!!! I'm Kama and I'm 19 and a Level 8. Gymnastics totally rocks and I'm so sick of people who think it's not a sport!!! I'd love to see people do half of what we do!
