My wife and I use Natural Family Planning. Most people think this method is just used when you are trying NOT to conceive, but that is untrue. Using a mixture of temperature readings, testing the consistency of your mucus and feeling the position of your cervix, you can pinpoint which days of the month you are most fertile. Your husband can participate by filling out the chart of your temperatures, which will also give him the chance to come to learn your cycle.

As far as how often you should have sex when you know you are at the peak of ovulation, you need to use trial and error. Some have sex every day, whereas others only have sex every other day to help build up the sperm count of the man. Others have sex twice in a row, once to clear out sperm that has been sitting around, and the second to get to more recently produced sperm. You should try to stick to the missionary position and have your husband move out of you slowly so that his sperm does not spill out. Then, put a pillow under your back and hold your knees towards your chest so that the sperm moves towards your cervix. You should stay in this position for about 15 minutes. Try your best to resist the urge to go to the bathroom immediately after sex because much of the sperm will fall straight out.

One thing your husband really needs to watch out for is excessive drinking and exposing his genitals to high temperatures (such as going into a hottub). These will actually kill sperm and it takes up to 3 months after such an incident for a man to return to full fertility. Hope this helps.

seriously, don't try so hard. just relax and enjoy it. It's only been 6 months.

i also read that the best position for conception is man on top and it's better if you have an orgasm because the cervix contracts helping those little swimmers get in.

hope this helps. =)

the best way, is to start tracking your cycle. knowing your cycle can help you know when your most fertile days are. to know when you are ovulating is the one of the keys to getting pregnant. also relax and enjoy it. don't make trying to conceive a job for you and your partner.

good luck!

Tell your man so stop masterbating. It will build up the sperm count. And make sure you climax !
