I always wonder about that question why do they do that when they meet a deaf person at first sight. the majority of them would act like we dont exist or dont want to do anything with us. They would get angry for no reason. I ve been faced like that my whole life. I always wonder about that! what are your thoughts?

Actually, my experience with deaf people (I dated a deaf man for over a year) was that many (not all) seem to emotionally hostile to hearing people. When ever we would go out with his friends, (also deaf), I often felt like I was crashing in on a group that didn't want me there.

Deaf people usually surround themselves with other deaf people... this is understandable due to the communication gap between the hearing and the deaf. But what happens in that process is that niether group can learn to relate to each other. So, its a cycle. just like everything else.

Are you asking about the deaf vs the hearing? Or people that are deaf and do not take part of deaf culture?

Dude, I don´t know where you live or where are you from, but I have met a lot of deaf people, and to me they are normal as anyone.. Maybe the people you have met gets angry because every time you fart you don´t realize what happened.. Naah man I'm joking... Don´t pay any attention to the people, remember that people behave weird when they are in front of anyone who's different in any aspect.. So don´t sweat it..

oh my gosh!!!
the majority does NOT hate them! Dang!
they are praticaly a different culture. in a deaf world things are way different. they can join groups that other deaf people belong to and they get thier support from eachother. they are just like normal people.

I don't hate anyone,ok,except my exhusband, and that's because he's Satan, lol. But,I've never met a deaf person, personally, seriously. I don't have problems with anyone, wasn't like you wanted to be born that way. I'd love to learn sign language, actually. Used to know quite a bit of signing, now I have forgotten it =o(( But,it's nice to meet, you. All of the hearing aren't all bad,I assure you....

Many people are uncomfortable with people who are different from them or people they cannot communicate with easily. As for them getting angry; it could just be impatience.
