I want to see it, but I'm not sure if its good.
I just saw a couple of clips from "Cry baby" when I was on YouTube.
It looks pretty decent, obviously a lot of kissing and things like that.
But, What did you guys think of the movie?
Was it good?
Whats it about anyways?

Cry baby is an hilarious film if you like that sort of thing. If you like John Waters' other films (serial mom, hairspray etc), Parents, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Mars Attacks, Ed Wood and that sort of thing then you'll love it. I get the impression from your name and the way your question is phrased that you are quite a sweet person and don't like anything too rude so you might not like it.
It is about a group of "juvenile delinquents" and their battle against the "squares". It is very camp and very funny. If you are not sure why don't you rent it, then if you don't like it and you turn it off after 10 minutes you won't have wasted much money (especially if you split the rent with a friend or two who will watch it with you!)
EDIT: A particular highlight is Johnny running about in his pants!

It's a John Waters movie so by definition it's weird and kinda creepy. It's a parody of 50s teen musicals, but with an odd 80s kind of sensibility.
If you like this sort of movie you'd be better off eeing "Hairspray." If you rally want really weird Waters, go for Pink Flamingos or Multiple Maniacs.
A far better early Depp movie is What's Eating Gilbert Grape.

if you like Johnny Depp, you will LOVE it.
It is a musical, so expect lots of singing.
Parts of it are silly (campy, cheesy, corny), but it's supposed to be that way.
Ever seen any movies by John Waters?
(like Hairspray?)
If so, then you know what you're in for.
If not, you might not be ready for the goofiness.
Keep an open mind.
I loved it right away!
And so do my kids.

It is a pretty cheesy movie but I love it. It is about preps and greasers not getting along. pretty much it is a mock of what life was like for teenagers in the 50's and 60's. it is all a big joke movie.

When I was way younger in grade school, my best friend and I had a sleepover where we watched Crybaby something like 12 times in a row. We knew every work. A character named Ratched-Face? How can you not love this movie?

its very over the top, campy and cheesy means the performers do waaaaay more than they should in getting the lines out

I saw it. it is one of my favorite movies. i think johnnie depp is so cute in that movie. If you havent watched it yet you should definitely watch it. its sort of funny. I even went and bought the movie cus i liked it so much and i hardly ever go out and buy movies.

I really liked it. So does my wife. I t does have a strange sense of humor. But it is a really a go movie. I really like it.

if you've seen/liked the movie 'hairspray' you'll like 'crybaby', too.
