Cosmetic company's use all kinds of stuff to make lipstick (even road kill). Sometimes they smell like chemicals or perfume, if they cover up the smell. You should use a company that doesn't use harsh chemicals or animals for their products. Arbonne is all natutal or Origins.

all lipsticks have some sort of smell. some perfumed some a waxy smell.
