I drink all water but I prefer a bottled water too. I think we just think its probably cleaner, but actually they are probably about the same as tap water! :)

You're right, I hate drinking water out of plastic, but still the altneratives are better than heavy metals, lead and other harmful trace elements the are in the tap, depending on location of course. I wouldn't drink tap in NJ if you know what I mean, but I might in NY state somewhere and even that I would check. Read about the long term effects of ingesting mineral deposits from whatever metals that are in your local water. They can cause a long range of problems over time. Why be foolish? Test the water and prove to yourself and to others that it is safe, then you can say you're right all along if nothing is found.

The US, followed by Mexico and Japan are the largest consumers of bottled water in the world. Drinking fountains appear to be a piece of history unless they are inside buildings. I never saw handy sized bottled water until the 60s in Europe. Nobody drinks tap water in Baja California, Mexico or in San Diego, California for that matter.
Bottled water widely sold in Baja licor stores , we call the tourists, "bottle draggers".

I drink bottled water, because I don't like the taste of well water. But in the city, I'm fine with tap, usually.

Tap water here tastes pretty rank, but I'm not totally opposed to it. I'll use it for coffee or cooking or anything that will disguise the flavor, but on it's own, only if I'm real thirsty and theirs no bottled water around. Sometime though, in a different city or part of the city, their water doesn't taste as bad, so then, no problem.

The only time I would drink bottled water is either in Mexico or in cities (such as Syracuse) where it is so polluted that you can't drink it. Most other municipalities have drinking water safe enough to drink from the tap. According to an Andy Rooney segment on 60 minutes they have found that tap water is actually better for you becuase it contains minerals that are necessary for survival such as iron and copper.

i do,and you will too once you start drinking bottled water and got through all different kind then find the one you like best. its not that tap isnt good, but you must admit its not what it used to be, and since it changes from time to time and since when you move it changes too, bottled water has a rep to upold and stays consistant. plus i found one that i can just drink and drink and i have to stop myself before i get bloded. dasani by coke is the Bomb! but i still drink tap water i just prefer dasani

Haha! You sound just like me. Dammit I've been drinking from the tap for 20 some-odd years and I'll KEEP drinking from the tap. It hasn't killed me yet! Bottled water is sooo nasty. It has an aftertaste. Excuse me, but it's water supposed to be flavorless?@?!#
Thx for the rant and the 2 points.

I like both tap water and bottled water but i think bottled water tastes better than tap water because it is colder (at least it is at my house).
