Why can't they just calm down and explain things slowly and in simple terms . i'm slow in understanding things , i can't even catch what they are talking about.. CNN, MSNBC, abc.. all these people , who do they think we are? that we are all talktive people? some of us speak slow, and understand better if people speak slowly.

I was a TV reporter for several years. Several reasons: You have la lot to explain in a limited time and you're in front of thousands, perhaps millions of people. Oh, and you have voices in your earpiece telling you to hurry up so the next story can air. :)

New people are trained to speak quickly to get as much news as they can in a few seconds. Keep looking for a news network where the pace is a little slower if you have trouble keeping up. It seems to me that the news on cable stations has a more relaxed pace that big corporate networks.

they're trying to read off a fast scrolling bar in front of them and have to read fast in order to keep up.
