Hmm, this has little to do with LGBT, but okay.

Your guess is wrong. I am a certified reverend.

You may check my credentials at the Universal Life Church, headquartered at 601 Third St., Modesto, California. You may call them at (209)527-8111.

Edit: On a bright note, I suppose I should feel flattered that someone would waste a question on my identity. If it didn't come from a bigot, I'd take it as a real compliment.

Reverend is simply a title that indicates that some recognized organization has decided that a particular person is worth bestowing the title of Reverend on and making them a minister or priest.

I'm technically entitled to the title -- but except for one time when the NY Times used my title when I performed the wedding ceremony for dear friends (and yes, the quote is correct, I was ordained within the Pentecostal movement, back before they purged all moderates and liberals.) I have never used it or allowed it to be used.

Titles don't matter, people do.

I've gone to that website as well, and I am technically a minister, of course for you to be a minister from ULC its pretty much as simple as filling out a web form, (or it was when I signed up) if you want to perform marriages, then you have to send em some money for the legal bits IIRC.here is the website: http://www.ulc.org/
