I suppose that depends on the program you're using. I'm guessing that you're trying to copy a block of stuff in one move, and the selectively paste things within that copy. I don't think that's possible in most applications (again, it depends on the app), but the closest thing you might see is the Office Clipboard. That allows you to copy up to 24 different things and paste them in different orders (or even to paste one thing multiple times). In Word, for example, if you click on View-Office Clipboard, you can start copying different blocks of text. When you are done, you can simply click on the items in the Office Clipboard and they will paste wherever your insertion point is.
