I just started taking prenatal vitamins about 2 months ago and now I have many symptoms of being pregnant but the test says no!!! Could it be the vitamins?

Thanks for all the no's... it gives me hope that maybe I really am and I took the test too soon. Ok, then one more question... how soon do you start to feel symptoms after you conceive?

The Dr. told me to take them (she gave me 3 months worth of samples) along with folic acid, and I take provera 10 days every month.

thanks winnp1, but I don't think I am pregnant just because I'm taking the vitamins.... I am hoping I am pregnant because I have been have sex. I am feeling symptoms now but tests say negative... just making sure it's not something I'm taking that has side effects.. don't think I need a head doctor for that!!!

I started to take the prenatal vitamins a month before i concieved and i did not have any problems with them, other than my pee was very dark yellow and my poop was like black, then I relaized that I had not read the bottle instructions when it said take vitamins with plenty of water!! Then I started to drink more water. I got pregnancy symptoms about 10 days after ovulation, my nipples itched a lot and the veins in my boobs started to show.

Prenatal vitamins gave me a bad taste in my mouth, sometimes made me gag, and the iron turned my stools different colors, mainly green. That may be too much information but you can always call your doctor and confirm. I'm confused why you are taking prenatal vitamins before you're pregnant. I didn't start until the test was positive.

Concerning taking prenatal vitamins before you are pregnant...I work as a nanny for an OB/GYN and she told me that taking prenatal vitamins is good when you are trying to concieve because it cuts down on chances of problems like some tubal thing in the baby.

No, unless you take excessive amounts of the vitamin, you won't feel any effects.

did you take a home pregnancy test? sometimes they are wrong, or sometimes the test is taken too soon to give an accurate reading.

see your doctor or go to a clinic and have them test you. they can take a blood sample which is 100% accurate (much more than urine)

I agree with BlondieAngel.....taking prenatal's are highly recommended while trying to conceive. I have been taking them for over a year now because I don't have enough iron in my system to carry full term (plus other complications like my thyroid, etc).

Prenatal vitamins only give you what you are looking for...If you think you are pregnant because you are taking them then stop and find you a good head doctor.

It really shouldn't. You can also read the label to find out the symptoms, but everyone body is different so it varies.
