Now, just wait a freakin' minute.
I (if I had to choose a major political party) am a Republican, and neither I nor anyone in my extended family own any stock in the petroleum industry.
I am also p!ssed that we have to pay through the nose for gasoline. But this is not the time to blame Republicans, the only Republicans that are problematic are those with corporate jobs. REAL Republicans just believe in a political process (look up the definition of REPUBLIC and DEMOCRACY).
To answer the complaint question; Do you buy 20 months of insurance once or twice a week?
The reason INSURANCE and HEALTH CARE are so high is because their are so many taxes, and bills enabling the companies to do whatever they want and THOSE (I wish I had italics) weren't passed (or supported) by Republicans.
I'm actually in favor of Socialised medicine (it's actually cheaper than the system we have now).
And don't buy stock, oil supply is lower than you are led to believe (unless you really want drilling in Alaska), alternative fuels (think: Bio-Diesel) are the way to invest.
Buy a solar panel.

because gasoline prices have lengthy gone up extremely unexpectedly for no actual good reason given so a procedures! ok, Katrina did hit us not basic, and many folk can understand the instantaneous value will improve by using shutdowns contained in the gulf, yet many of the oil infrastructure that became damaged is decrease back on-line, why have not gasoline prices adjusted subsequently? because alongside with gasoline, each and everything else is going up in value by using gasoline needed for farm kit, packaging, and delivery (take close understand your grocery costs, it wasn't that in the previous that butter became lower than ninety 9 cents), production (the position do you imagine plastics come from), and shuttle (personal besides as business enterprise appropriate). and considering even as prices are extreme, oil businesses are also claiming extraordinarily extreme salary! no matter if or not they're certainly raping us, or it is only a twist of destiny. nevertheless, i ought to likely stay luckily for some thing of my existence on only faster or later's (heck even an hours properly worth) earnings of a accurate oil authorities. because no longer some thing is being finished to carry prices decrease go into reverse! We do pick to improve furnish (ANWAR, ocean drilling, determination fuels AND better useful autos NOW). Oil is only area of the priority, no new refineries were construct in this usa for over two decades (it truly is time for NIMBY to alllow some concessions). Unfortunatley each and each and every of the authorities seems wanting to discuss is a earnings providence tax, which will only serve to improve prices even better! we've realized that beginning up the federal reserve does no longer some thing. What occurred to temporaily postponing gas taxes or loosening blend criteria? even as congress debates, the classic issues worsen. it truly is time for the authorities to threaten federalization of the marketplace - it worked once before to settle a dispute between coal businesses and mining unions. If the oil businesses do not pick to create new refineries (good day W even offered former protection rigidity base wind up for refinery structure, at no value to the marketplace) then per chance this action is needed.

Because it's an indication that price for everything will rise since oil used to make gas is used for many many other things we depend on now days, and it's the price of oil that's driving the gas price.
But, your attitude is good and positive. Playing the market offsets the oil woes.

Interestingly enough, people complain about paying $3 for a GALLON of gas, but are perfectly willing to pay a whole $1 for 12 OUNCES of water. I think that's a little silly.
