No, they cause flatulence, are not good for proper digestion.But thats when the seeds are many and large sized.Choose good quality tomatoes only.Tomatoes are also known to cause stones in kidneys if eaten raw.

They aren't unhealthy, but mostly they remain undigested in our stools, which is the whole idea. The plant gives you food and you spread it's seed around.
