most tampon boxes might say 8 hours. I personally say 4-8 hours....

About 4 hours. It depends on your flow and the type of tampons you use. Read the box. They will tell you for their brand. They say don't leave it for longer than recommended because of TSS (toxic shock syndrome) which can be caused by using tampons incorrectly.

First, you should buy the lowest absorbency possible for your flow. They say not to leave a tampon in for more than 8 hrs (severely increases chances for toxic shock syndrome), but I try not to leave one in for more than 4 hours and at night wear a maxi. When alternating between a tampon and maxi it lets your body expel any blood clots that you need to release.

dont keep it on for too long girl. cause, i read in seventeen that some girls in past were busy at school and they often put in the same tampon for long hours, which can cause infection. But it is curable though. when you feel it cant absorb anymore you should change...

I would say about 5-8 hours but just keep in mind that you need to get the lowest absorbency for your body

four to six hours during the day, and not more then 8 hours when you go to bed. Unless you will use a pad when you go to bed, which I never do. Just change it before you go to bed and then again when you get up.
