I'm thinking the Dead Kennedys. What do you think is the best one?

I agree with you. I seriously thought that when I clicked on you question you were going to say that My Chemical Romance was the best punk band, like everybody else here says. That drives me crazy, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that you like DK, too. To me, DK epitomizes what punk rock is supposed to be. Smart, political, edgy, witty, and full of energy. It's a shame that they're touring without Jello. It's just not the same without him.

That's a tough one. I'm gonna say.....Black Flag. Though of course there are also the originals (Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols along with countless others) that helped to make punk what it is.
