You mean 'My cross to bear.'

It goes back to Jesus's walk through Jerusalem to the place where He was to be crucified. The Romans made him carry (bear) His cross himself. On the way a man jumped out to help Him but was beaten off. The cross would have been very heavy and as Jesus had been whipped and beaten and the day was very hot it would have been an awful experience.

Anyone with a problem that was pretty big would say 'Well, I've got my cross to bear.' as an analogy to the burden that Jesus was given at his crucifixion.

something bad or negative in a Christian's life he/she has to deal with on a regular basis. It can be something like an illness. It can also mean standing firm in the faith despite being ridiculed or persecuted. It also means denying the flesh and doing what is right in God's eyes.

your question made me burst out laughing. it's cross to BEAR not cross to BARE. bare means naked or to get naked.
but anyway, the above posters are correct. it's a burden. it's a reference to Christ carrying his cross before he was crucified.

it's cross to bear, not bare.

To bear is to carry.

It means your burden to carry.
