in the highschool near my house there's a bunch of kids that wear white shirts and gangster looking cholo type styles. They always get out at lunch time and i see piles of them get together... They don't seem like hard core gangsters though.. they seem like stupid kids being disrespectful and not studying...Then i see that in my neighborhood some houses have Grafitti on them, time and time again.even as the owner paints over it time and time again. Sometimes i feel that the ones that made that grafitti are disrespectful highschool students. Is this more likely? or is it more likely they are hardcore thugs?

True graffiti can be an art form if done in the right place and in my city there are places that people can express their creativity but for the most part it is bored, uneducated teenagers. The ones that just write swear words or lame street names. We have a brickwall that runs along our driveway which was tagged and then finally the council painted over it and within eight hours it was again covered in unsightly juvenille scrawling. It is disgusting. It is like a game to them to have their 'tag' in as many places as possible particularly around their area which they use as a way to mark their teritory, It comes from gang roots but kids do it blindly cos they think its cool. If I come home one night and catch them they will be in for a nasty shock.

Well, I am a highschool student and this is my aspect of the ordeal. I have "tagged" many of places. For me and my friends it was gang related. Not always though. It's a sense of art work. Old english writing, pictures, it actually looks nice. If the towns and cities would just dedicate a place for us to express ourselves than it wouldn't be a problem. Also just because I "tag" or am in a sense related to a gang it doesn't mean I am uneduacted or disrespectful. I study and make excellent marks. I plan on going to collage to further my education. Don't judge from what you don't know.

I would think that hard core thugs would have better things to do than paint graffiti. This does not minimize the disrespect for others property this kind of conduct represents.
This could also be the beginning of gangster or gang activity. Does you community offer diversionary programs to give young teenagers, etc. something to do. Perhaps a neighbourhood watch should be started to dissuade youngsters from this kind of activity.

Hard core gang members usually can't be bothered with this stupid stuff - not that there isn't tagging regarding territory marking. But just running around smearing walls is not something they would bother doing.

Those people are ********* who do retarded things. Why would hardcore thugs spray some peoples' houses? They're the ones doing it, I'd put money on it. Shoot them all and be done with them.
