I was given IP address and server name and told to 'Renew SID'; I have no idea what this means (I know what the SID is, but I cannot find anything on Microsofts site on how to 'renew' a server's SID).

Hi,

tell me who told you renew SID.

If you are using your server on live ip then maybe Microsoft told you that your server OS is not legal copy so just renew or buy a licence copy.

its my personal ops so just find it.

Good luck!!!
