I am needing a report to show what we spent with certain vendors for this year and a report to show what we spent each month. I have the vendor balance summary that shows what we spent all year, but when I try to narrow that down to monthly, my numbers aren't changing. I need a monthly report that doesn't include the total from the previous month in the total.

Go to:vendors, vendor list ,go to the bottom toolbar to reports on all vendors, then over to the profit and loss straight from there.In your P&L make sure your default dates are correct and then your columns are monthly. Hope this helps!

When you call up the report, up near the top of the report you'll see fields dialog boxes. The first will say "Dates:" the have "All" in the dialog box next to it. To the right of that you'll see "From" and "To" with dialog boxes next to them and icons of little calendars beside them. In those boxes you put the starting date and ending date for the report range. Hit "enter" or "tab" and the report will be generated for that date range.

For example, if you want the month of Feb. 2006, you put 2/1/2006 in the "From" box and 2/28/06 in the "To" box. Press "Tab" and the report is generated for the month of February. The just hit the print button and you're set.
