Ok Most people I see are wearing white socks or no socks with blue jeans. On a New show this week fashion people said that you needed to match your socks to the color of the pants???? Even jeans!! What do you think?

no, I think socks should be white or match the color of your shirt, Denim socks would be very uncomfortable. It really is whatever your comfortable with, High fashion isn't for everyone!!!

I'm a guy. I'm really into fashion. I do not "match" my socks with my pants. What I do is I wear socks that complement the color of the pants and that don't stand out too much. I think that is what they probably getting at on that TV show. You should not wear socks that stick out. In other words white socks with blue jeans might stick out too much. For jeans you should try grey or black socks. Good luck with that. You only really need to match your socks if you are wearing a suit and dress socks.

That's so stupid. Clearly, people don't do that, because otherwise you would see shoppers stockpiling denim-blue colored socks. I only own one pair of blue socks, and those are navy. The whole POINT of wearing jeans (at least, normal jeans) is that they're like a neutral. You can wear anything with them. That fashion advice is dumb.
If I am wearing pants (as opposed to a skirt) to the office, then black socks are usually best.
I don't know why I feel so strongly about this, but I do. ;)

Ew no way. I would never wear blue socks with blue jeans. That's sick. If I was wearing black pants, I wouldn't wear white socks though, I'd wear black or some other dark color. It just depends on the pants I guess. But you can wear whatever socks with blue jeans, especially white.

That is true about pants. With business casual or dress attire you should always match as closely as possible the color of your socks with the color of your pants. But with jeans, I think it is white socks, no socks, or in the case of wearing dress shoes with jeans, black or gray socks.

I tend to match the color of my socks to my pants, even with jeans. But only if you're going to see the socks. I wear cowboy boots in the cooler months, so you don't see my socks.

That is always the fashion rule. Socks match pants. But if you're going casual, who cares?

Agreed. I wear blue cotton socks with blue jeans and always ensure your belt matches your shoe color.

If you're dressed up....yes. If you are more casual in jeans or khakis then no. I think it would look silly. Granted this is only my opinion but I must admit that I am a huge fashion whore so I'm usually right. Hahahahhaha! Take care and I hope you have a most amazing day!

Just wear white, all the time, nobody what you have on.
Buy nothing but white socks and you will never have to match them up, nobody will notice.
