To put it in a nutshell I got scammed big time! I am quite embarrassed actually! This over seas company is now telling me I have to pay a $150 customs fee and if I don't pay it they will arrest me and take me to jail. Do I believe this, no...this company is trying to get more money out of me after the fact of them refusing to shop to me what I have purchased, it's a cell phone. I bought one phone and then they told me they mis-packed my order. They were sending me 5 phones, all i had to do was pay for 2 additional phones...when i refused, they refused to send me the phone i bought.....now they are telling me they will ship me my phone, but now i have to pay a customs tax.....i just need some educated answers....they are probably just trying to scare me so i send them more money.....

If you paid by credit card, then contact them immediately to cancel the transactions. Also, ask them to BLOCK any further charges with that card by that company.

If the package arrives, simply refuse delivery. Their instructions on the Customs slip will leave them with the problem, not you.

I no you cannot be sent to jail for this and yes it is a scam. There are U.S. Customs fees and taxes for good purchased over seas, but not electronic so that isn't a problem. Yes you are being scammed and do not send them anymore money. Do not be afraid to call Customs and ask, but I am telling you the truth.

Duties and broker fees are extra. This is fairly normal when shipping from overseas to the US and from the US to other countries. You'd have to do research to see if your package is duty-free or if you are required to pay on it.

For shipping to the US - they have to fill out a customs declaration form and tarriffs & duties are applied. Let me see if I can find you some reference on it.

look - if you're not a citizen in that country u dont pay taxes (that works like that in USA and in EUROPE)
if u visiting this country and buying it right away - u pay taxes...

if the law says u gotta pay... pay... or buy from another place...

in the wrost case - say "OK. COME AND GET ME." ((but send me my product...))
