because hot dog is made out of meat incased in a skin. When they tie off the ends of the hotdogs, they cut the ends, leaving a little bit of casing with a hole.... Hence the anus..... Personally I think they taste like anus.... LOL

well, the meat of a sausage is in the small intestine of a cow so it anly makes since that at the end of the intestine you'll have an anus, doesn't it?
