What do you think about making Baja California as the 51st state of the union?

With Baja Caifornia part of the United States, that'll solve much of our immigration problem.

I personally think we should ANNEX the whole country.
They are very rich with minerals and natural resources, as well as the people being some of the hardest working people on the planet.
I Know it would benefit us and the people of Mexico as well.
The corrupt Mexican government however wouldn't benefit much at all...and many libs would see it as an occupation if there was even the smallest amount of dissent from the Mexican people.
Another issue that may help would be to demand from Mexico.
For every illegal that crosses over they must give us 1 barrel of oil per month, they have lots of it, or we will send them back with a bill for any services rendered.

There is no such place as Baja California.
Baja is in Mexico. It is very close to the border but that does not mean that is is part of California.
California does not provide any form of government funds to Baja. There are no US or California state government agencies located in Baja.

Go toYahoo Maps and look at a close up view south of San Diego.
You will see that the US/Mexico border goes west into the ocean.
Tiajuana would be considered the northern most city within the Baja peninsula.

Baja is not in California. For the US to take over the Baja peninsula would require the US to invade Mexico and take it over.
Probibly not a good idea.
