I need a ballpark or a standard mark up on goods before the embroidery or silk screening.

Typically the markup ranges from 20% to 50% depending on what your local market dictates.

Usually you get a formula from the vendor like Brother who manufactures embroidery machines - they will give you a formula to follow - a friend of mine uses it and makes a good profit.

i generally used a 30% markup across the board for my shirts, if it was a specialty item i was silk screening like do rags or koozies i marked up 40% and if i didnt like em 50% hahaha
