Yup, youre right...
Lets see. Science has created computers, put man on the moon, forecasted earthquakes, eruptions, and daily weather, and has manipulated our surroundings so efficiently that humans can exist in any environment on the planet... and even NOT on the planet!
On the other hand, Religion has told stories of impossible floods, impossible miracles (water into wine? please) and constantly contradicts itself throughout the teachings. For example, youre not supposed to commit adultery, but many in the bible have many, even hundreds of wives (king david!).
The most important thing for you to realize, is that the book that makes up christianity was created over 2,000 years ago (maybe not in its final form, but it was started then). Back then, people did not understand the world around them. They did not understand that the subduction of tectonic plates causes earthquakes, or that dust storms from saharan africa can cause heavy rains, or that there are some medical conditions that cause strange occurences. Therefore, they created these stories to explain their surroundings.
It has been repeatedly shown that evolution occurs (think the Galapogos islands) and it has been repeatedly shown that intelligent design holds no water whatsoever. The basic building blocks of life can be created in a glass jar with water, basic earth elements, and electricity. A bolt of lightning could have been the beginning of life!
So lets recap. Nothing about religion has been proven or shown any evidence for; Science has created everything in your world, including the computer you typed the question in on. Still wondering which one is right? You shouldnt be.
Lets ask you this. If GOD is powerful enough to do anything, why would it take him DAYS to create the universe? Isnt that a sign of him being NOT omnipotent? Any decent GOD I know would be able to do it at the snap of a finger. And moreover... he certainly would not need to REST for an entire day afterwards.

ok right that's the component, you're arguing apples to oranges and that includes atheists. Creationism is per faith, no longer technology. Evolution is per technology, no longer faith. The Bible replaced into surpassed down orally for 1000's of years in the previous it replaced into written, ever performed the game "telephone"? It in all probability isn't the final way it occurred, maximum probable that is not. the factor of the Bible, what many lose, is the which skill at the back of the story, no longer who did what/the place. what's it attempting to tell you to do along with your life? understanding what king defeated what guy in some conflict shouldn't assist you, neither is understanding the way issues have been created. in case you have self belief God created the international, then He did. in case you have self belief each and every thing occurred as a consequence of the huge Bang, then it did. conform to disagree as a results of fact the two arguments can by no skill be solved, you're comparing separate issues.

Animals and plants evolve all the time. There are lizards that originally had flaps of skin they use to glide with that are receding back now so they just are adapting to their environment. I know that some people do not believe that people evolved to the degree some believe, like humans evolving from apes. You can read some books on creationism and see what you think. There are some moths that have changed their color and markings to blend in with the soot on the trees from the near by factory's. They changed from white to black for this reason.

God made man=truth ,not religion! Evolution was theorized by a man! in scientific language to a audience of scientists first then to a audience of religious leaders about 300 years ago. Funny how back then no one tried to scientifically prove Darwin wrong! Ironically , darwin used everything the good LORD gave him to find that theory! and yet, missed the "forest for the trees"!

6 days is not taken to mean 6 calendar days of 24 hours as we know days now. And Adam and Eve could have been any life form, although highly unlikely. Science is only what is believed until it is disproven so who knows

What were we suppose to evolve from?
Please! I didn't believe it then and I can't believe anyone else can. A dog is always a dog. An ape is always an ape. For the last 5000 years of recorded history, people are people. Science is of wonderful importance. But Darwin was an idiot. I don't see people or ape evolving. People are getting fatter. But can that be called evolution?

I believe that God created upon this earth PRIOR TO Genesis 1:1-31, 2:1-3.
I believe God destroyed all prior creation (Gen.1:2) to bring forth man created in God's likeness (Gen.1:26), with an UNBROKEN lineage beginning with Adam.

They are both correct. You apparently don't understand that one is literal and the other is figurative. The creation story is merely a metaphor for the omnipotence of God; the world was NOT created in 6 days...but it was created by God, or at least I believe so.

It takes more faith to believe in macro evolution than in creation. If macro evolution really happened, then why isn't it still happening? Science has never disproven creation as outlined in the Bible. However, science HAS disproven macro evolution.

They're both right, for some value of "right". Science is about "how", and religion is about "why". Mixing that up leads to conflict.
